CANDLE CARE

Candle Care for Jarof Candles

At Jarof, we believe in creating products that inspire warmth, comfort, and beauty in every space. Our journey began with a passion for nature and a desire to bring a sense of serenity into everyday life.

Each candle we create reflects our commitment to natural elements, timeless elegance, and thoughtful design. From the soft glow of a flame to the inclusion of hand-selected gemstones, every detail is carefully chosen to celebrate the beauty of the natural world.

Based in Georgia, our small team works with care and dedication to craft candles that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. Whether you're lighting a candle for a moment of calm or as a finishing touch to your home, we want every Jarof candle to bring joy and light to your life.

Thank you for letting us be part of your story.

For the first burn, allow the wax to melt across the entire surface to the edges of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle’s life. This may take 2-4 hours.

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use to promote a steady flame and prevent soot and “mushrooming.” Investing in a quality wick trimmer can make this easy and clean.

For best results, limit each burn to no more than 4 hours. Overburning can affect fragrance quality and cause overheating.

If soot forms on the vessel’s inside, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, and wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Trim the wick before relighting.

Always keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, or any debris to ensure a clean, even burn.

Use a snuffer to extinguish your candle, or dip the wick into melted wax and straighten it afterward. This prevents smoking and avoids splattering hot wax. Avoid blowing out the candle.

If the candle flickers, smokes, or the flame becomes too high, extinguish it, let it cool, and trim the wick before relighting. This helps maintain a controlled, safe flame.

For maximum scent, burn your candle in the desired room with the door closed for 30 minutes. Open doors and windows can disperse the fragrance.

Store your candles in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight or intense indoor lighting to preserve the wax and fragrance.

Gently remove dust or fingerprints with a soft cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth.

Do not burn the candle all the way down. Always leave at least ½ inch of wax at the bottom. Our candles are designed with ¾ inch of glass before the wax starts.

Please keep your candle within view and out of reach of pets and children for a safe, enjoyable experience.
